Aims

The FPA and the IFE represent fire safety professionals in all sectors of the fire community, both in the UK and overseas. Members range from insurers, fire safety engineers and fire safety managers in industry and commerce to fire equipment manufacturers and firefighters at every level.

By working closely together, the FPA and IFE hope that their members will derive greater tangible benefits. Bringing these two organisations together will promote a greater understanding of issues that affect the fire protection industry, the legislators and regulators and those who influence building and equipment design, as well as end-users and those on the front line when fire breaks out.

Fire Risk Management endeavours to meet the needs of its professional membership base by continuing to provide the latest news, views and discussion on technical, commercial and legislative issues and promoting a greater understanding of the queries and concerns of all disciplines in the fire safety sector.

Readership

This is an opportunity to get your own message across to this, one of the biggest and most influential groups of fire safety professionals in the world – 10,000 in the UK and 5,000 worldwide.

The journal issent to named individuals in the following sectors:

  • fire safety managers in industry and commerce
  • senior fire officers in public and occupational fire brigades worldwide
  • fire engineers in the public and private sectors, in the UK and overseas
  • all fire surveyors and risk managers in the UK’s 60 largest insurance companies
  • fire consultants
  • architects and surveyors
  • building control officers and facility managers
  • enforcement authorities
  • central and local government
  • health and education authorities

Extensive overseas opportunities

The IFE has extremely active branches in Europe, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore and USA, while the FPA has members in 65 countries worldwide.

Circulation

An average of 15,000 copies of the Fire Risk Management are published monthly. Each copy is seen, on average, by 3-4 people, meaning that the journal’s usual pass-on readership exceeds 45,000.

The journal is distributed at all major UK fire-related and health and safety exhibitions, and at all FPA and IFE symposiums and conferences. These events include the Fire & Rescue show, Fire Expo, the IFE AGM and International Conference, and the National Association of Hospital Fire Officers’ annual conference.

60 major insurance companies take multiple copies to distribute to risk managers, loss adjusters and fire surveyors. The insurance sector wields considerable influence over the entire fire industry.
