The Jumeria Beach hotel – which is shaped like a breaking wave – installed Vermiculux boards, which offer up to 240 minutes’ protection to the building’s steelwork. Another hotel, the Burj Al Arab, has installed general-purpose Supalux board to protect its lift shafts.
Elsewhere in the region, Promat products are protecting structural steel at the Al Salaam Hospital in Saudi Arabia and at the Ministry of Petroleum in Oman.
