GUIDANCE FOR businesses on how to meet the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order – due to come into force on 1 April 2006 – will be available from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) early in 2006, according to ODPM policy division head Andy Jack.
The guidance, which will take the form of 11 documents, each focusing on a different business sector, will be available from 9 January on the ODPM website.
A £2m publicity campaign is also planned to raise awareness of the new fire safety legislation in the months leading up to its introduction.
