You will report directly to the Director of Estates and will be responsible for giving advice on all fire-related issues in connection with new and existing buildings.

You will work closely with key staff, providing advice on fire safety policy, standards and statutory requirements. In addition you will monitor the management of Health & Safety under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations within the Estates office. You will have a considerable knowledge and experience in the practical application of fire precautions legislation and standards. You will also work closely with the University Safety Officer but will remain responsible to the Director of Estates.
