The £700,000 installation forms part of the hall’s £70m refurbishment programme and includes the provision of fire detection and public address/voice alarm systems. It also integrates with a new extension building, adjacent to the hall, which houses offices and technical facilities.
The renovation programme is currently under way and the hall is due to re-open in June 2007.
