Qatargas Operating Company has many exciting and challenging opportunities available for qualified professionals. Qatargas is currently expanding three times its size by building four new LNG trains and spending over $20 billion on its expansion projects in it’s pursuit to become the worlds leading LNG supplier.

We seek applications from suitably qualified personnel for the following key positions:

Fire Training Officer

Reporting directly to the Chief Fire Officer, has responsibility to plan, develop and conduct the fire training programs for all fire fighters, company employees and the community. Training includes but not limited to fire prevention, protection, emergency response, rescue and fire fighting procedures.

This position is regarded as crucial part of the Fire & Rescue Division command structure, and candidate will be expected to respond and take command role on an incident scene when requested by the Chief Fire Officer.

In the absence of the Chief Fire Officer; candidate will be expected to act in the position and assumes all duties and responsibility in accordance with the job requirement.

Will be required to work in conjunction with the training department strategic goals and play effective role in the corporate training plan. Assist the Chief Fire Officer in the training and development of Nationals, continuous monitoring of their performance to ensure their competence and to maintain high standard of skilled personnel.

In the absence of the Chief Fire Officer and Fire Operation Officer, assumes their duties in a capacity and authority inherent to their positions.

All role holders are on 24 hour on-call standby.

Fire Protection Officer

Reporting directly to the Chief Fire Officer, and has responsibility to develop, implement and supervise the fire protection and prevention programs.

This position is regarded as crucial part of the Division command structure, and candidate will be expected to respond and take command role on an incident scene when requested by the Chief Fire Officer.

In the absence of the Chief Fire Officer; candidate will be expected to act in the position and assumes all duties and responsibility in accordance with the job requirement.

Will be required to perform fire code enforcement activities to promote life and property safeguards, as well as compliance with International fire codes requirements.

Role holder expected to act as Fire Prevention representative in community and public education

programs. Work independently in the field and are responsible for decision-making requiring discretion, judgment and knowledge of appropriate codes, ordinances, regulations, standards and laws.

All role holders are on 24 hour on-call standby.
