FIRE SAFETY INSPECTING OFFICERS - (NON-UNIFORMED)

The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) are seeking a number of highly professional individuals to undertake the role of Fire Safety Inspecting Officers (non-uniformed) in the Fire Safety Department.

As a member of a small team located in Newbury, Reading or Maidenhead, the post holders will contribute to the corporate aims of the Fire Authority through the enforcement of fire safety legislation.

Post-holders will carry out inspections and advise on fire safety measures to minimise risk in existing locations, planned structures and events.

The successful applicant will have sound experience, knowledge and understanding in the fire safety field including fire safety legislation, the fire safety regulatory framework, fire safety guides, codes of practice, and risk assessment.

The posts are conditioned to a 37 hour week.

Applicants must possess a full driving licence and the daily use of a car is required, for which an allowance will be paid.
