Fire strategy framework

A NEW Publicly Available Specification, PAS 911: 2007: Fire strategies – Guidance and framework for their formulation, has been published by the British Standards Institution (BSI).

PAS 911, which has been authored by Kingfell, sets out a framework for the development of strategies encompassing life safety, property/asset protection, business continuity and environmental protection.

The document also aims to provide an audit trail as the risk matures, to ensure that modifications to the site are recorded and their impact on the site’s overall fire safety regime considered.

PAS 911 is available, price £99, from the ‘BSI Shop’ at: www.bsi-global.com/en/
