Bodycote warringtonfire provides a comprehensive fire safety service including fire testing, certification and fire safety consulting services to an international market including laboratories at several locations in Europe and in Australia; and fire consultants’ offices in Dubai, Hong Kong and Australia. A new fire testing laboratory is being developed in Dubai.

TECHNICAL MANAGER: Product Certification

A Technical Manager, for product certification, is required by Warrington Certification Ltd, the certification division of warringtonfire. The division is involved with voluntary, regulatory and quality systems certification for clients worldwide.

The candidate will need a background in passive fire protection and ideally certification and will report to the Divisional Manager.

The role of the Technical Manager will include carrying out assessments of products for certification, dealing with technical problems relating to existing certificated products, updating and maintaining the technical certification documentation and participating in industry liaison panels.

The post is based in Warrington although travel in the UK and occasional travel worldwide will be required.

TECHNICAL CONSULTANTS: Technical Department

Due to continued expansion vacancies have arisen for Technical Consultants to work within the highly respected Technical Department of Bodycote warringtonfire.

The successful applicants will be knowledgeable either in the test and assessment/extended application requirements for fire rated products or in the characteristics of product ranges which will enable assessments and extended application of results to be written. They will be required to work with the testing and certification departments developing solutions to customer needs leading to product approvals across the globe.

Experience in testing and product requirements which have considered reaction to fire and fire resistance requirements is preferred as is an understanding of basic fire safety measures for buildings. Training will be given to enable the successful applicant to become a full and productive member of a small friendly team.

Good communication skills are required as they will liaise directly with producers of products from any global location.

The successful applicant will be computer literate and willing to travel within the UK and abroad, and a full driving licence is essential.
