THE WORLD’S largest purpose-built National Blood Service facility in Filton, Avon, in the UK, has been installed with intelligent fire alarm control panels from Advanced Electronics, as part of the building’s new fire detection system.

The new £60m facility has been fitted with the company’s Mx-4400 fire panels and mimic panels in different locations throughout the building. The panels are networked together with the fire detection system to provide a single integrated solution.

The mimic panels consist of a graphical map overlaid with light-emitting diodes, which instantly illuminate the exact location of a fire or fault.
