Staffing at head office
I am sorry to advise members that Ellen Jessett is on sick leave. In her absence, her duties are being divided between Louise Craig, who is acting as an interim general manager, and myself in my capacity as chairman of the Board. I am sure all members wish Ellen a speedy return to full health.
Ian Stevenson FIFireE
I am also sorry to report that Ian Stevenson passed away suddenly at Worcester Royal Hospital on 23 December, following his debilitating illness with Motor Neurone Disease.
Ian was very active within IFE in London and represented London nationally. A fellow of the Institution, he was IFE London Branch president in 2002/03 and Branch secretary for many years. Ian was an active member of the UK Branches forum and worked hard for the Institution. He was a champion of IFE continuing professional development policy and practice, and in retirement was active in the UK Midlands Branch.
A service to his memory was held on 9 January at St Peters Church, Martley, Worcestershire, where the Institution was represented by Mick Quy.
