The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) are seeking a highly professional individual to undertake a new role of Fire Safety Enforcement Officer in the Fire Safety Department.
As a member of a small team located in Brigade Headquarters, the post holder will ensure the effective audit of fire safety technical orders, and policy and procedures. You will carry out Fire Safety enforcement investigations including interviews under PACE. This role will work closely to the Fire Safety Support Officer (Support Services) to ensure the enforcement of fire safety legislation.
The successful applicant will be able to communicate at all levels and have a sound knowledge of fire safety legislation, the fire safety regulatory framework and fire safety guides.
This post is a 37 hour week although it may be possible to complete this role on a part-time basis or as a job share.
