The RPS Group is the leading planning and environmental consultancy in Europe, with around 4500 employees and 90 offices worldwide. We offer a wide range of fire and health and safety audits, asbestos surveys, and other environmental services to private and public sector clients.

We are recruiting Fire Safety/Health and Safety Consultants to be based in our London and Edinburgh or Aberdeen offices. You will be responsible for providing our clients with fire risk assessments, health and safety audits and technical advice. Our clients are located throughout the UK but we are seeking applications predominantly from the south east of England and Scotland.

It is desirable that you have a local authority fire service background and ideally have spent several years in a fire safety unit. Experience of working in a consultancy or commercial environment is desirable but not essential. You should have in-depth knowledge of current legislation and a recognised fire related qualification or professional membership.

Preference will be given to applicants who also have a recognised Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH Certificate, Diploma or equivalent) and experience of undertaking health and safety audits and risk assessments.
