Salary: Band 6, £23,458 - £31,779 pa

Hours: f/t 37.5 pw

A vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual, working within the Estates and Facilities Department. You will be part of a small but adaptable team delivering a comprehensive Estate Management Service across three Trusts.

You will be able to communicate with Directorate Managers, Heads of Departments, Enforcing Authorities and other Professional Bodies over fire safety matters.

We are looking for a pro-active, dynamic Fire & Safety Adviser to work within the Estates and Facilities Department.

You will be a lead specialist responsible for the Fire Safety in the Trust. This will include fire risk assessments, providing fire training to Trust staff and giving advice regarding fire safety to both in-house and external consultants on capital schemes to ensure statutory obligations are met.

This important role requires the provision of fire safety advise, identification and assessment of fire risks, prioritising improvements, fire incident investigation and a training and fire drill programme. Additionally you will need to be able to liaise with external bodies in respect to fire safety advice on alterations to existing to existing and new buildings.

Applicants must have a good working knowledge of current fire safety legislation and hold appropriate professional qualifications. Ideally you will have previously held a position, within an organisation, with responsibility for fire safety.
