THE COACHMAN Caravan Company, which manufactures caravans in Humberside, has been saved from fire thanks to a newly-installed early-warning fire detection system from Chubb Fire.

The system detected that a ceiling in the building’s ‘aftercare’ area was being scorched after a fluorescent tube had blown in the vicinity, alerting a worker to the potential danger.

The detection system includes the ControlMaster range of products – which were installed in various locations throughout the building, such as the aftercare area, the manufacturing area and the security office. The system works via a secure network, providing site-wide early-warning fire detection information from each location.
