An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the IOW PCT.
This is a full time post that will give the successful applicant the opportunity of working with highly experienced Health, Safety and Security Team within a wide range of NHS disciplines. Reporting to the Head of Health, Safety and Security within the Corporate Affairs Directorate, the role would be to carry out the following:
To act in the role of Fire Safety Manager and Fire Safety Advisor, as detailed in the DoH document HTM 05-01 (Managing Healthcare Fire Safety), taking the lead in all matters relating to fire safety for the PCT.
To be on-call (enhancement applies) for out-of-hours management of Fire/Health & Safety, and Manual Handling.
To act as ‘Major Incident Health and Safety Officer’ for the PCT Ambulance Service (this position is to be further developed).
To improve standards of training for staff of the PCT in respect of Fire Safety.
To provide informed advice on fire to the Trust on its development across its Estate.
