National Trust

Although the National Trust is the UK’s largest charity dedicated to conserving our country’s heritage, our sights are firmly set on the future.

Working in a constantly changing social and cultural environment, it’s vital that our strategies and actions prepare us fully for tomorrow’s challenges, and that includes our Fire Precaution and Emergency Precaution practices, which provide essential support for our staff and volunteers at work in the countryside and in historic buildings.

Drawing on your wealth of experience and knowledge, you will be integral to fire safety management, minimising the risk of adverse events and helping to maintain a safe working environment for staff, volunteers and visitors alike. You will be a member of the Institute of Fire Engineers, and will possess a nationally recognised qualification in fire safety and fire risk assessment.

With excellent communication, organisation and IT skills, you will be able to work effectively on your own or as part of a team. You will have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary organisation and of implementing fire related standards in heritage premises.
