Fire Safety Engineer, Permanent Full time – 37 hours

Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service are seeking a highly professional person to take the exciting new role of Fire Safety Engineer in the Community Fire Protection department. Joining a small team located at Fire Service Headquarters, you will ensure that new major projects within the Service area are designed and constructed to the very highest fire safety standards.

Bringing all your experience, working closely with contractors and developers to ensure designs meet the latest regulations, you will be involved in auditing and validating fire engineering strategies and fire safety systems analysis. You will also be involved in enforcement work relating to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

With significant experience in developing fire engineering strategies, you should have a relevant technical or engineering degree and recognised professional fire qualifications. Most importantly, you must have the ability to communicate at all levels and the presence and credibility to influence decision-makers.
