Hush hush

C-TEC’S Hush Button fire alarm panel has been installed in the reception area at luxury new housing development, John Robert Gardens, in Cumbria, northwest England.

The analogue addressable panel connects to the Hush Buttons in each of the 28 flats, allowing residents to silence false alarms themselves, should they set them off accidentally. This avoids inconvenient and costly full-scale evacuations and unnecessary fire service call-outs, as well as the potential danger of a real fire being ignored by residents used to experiencing frequent false alarms.

The system is compatible with Apollo XP95/Discovery and Hochiki ESP protocols, and meets and exceeds BS 5839-6 in all areas.
