Heathrow fire station

HEATHROW international airport has unveiled a new state-of-the-art fire station. The £4m facility will provide the airport’s 108 dedicated fire officers with improved facilities and quick emergency access to Heathrow’s runways. It will work in tandem with Heathrow’s second fire station, located close to the new Terminal 5. As well as better training facilities, the new station houses study areas for firefighters to research for exams and promotions, along with five bays to accommodate the airport’s fire appliances.
