 Designed for applications where open flaming fires are likely to occur, the new Hochiki IFD detectors respond only to specific optical wavelengths and flame flicker frequencies/light emitted from flames. The detectors can differentiate between a fire and flames from other light sources, such as flickering sunlight, thus avoiding falsely activated alarms.
In addition to petrochemical installations, the detectors are suitable for a wide range of industrial applications, including the aviation, waste/recycling, storage and pharmaceutical industries, as well as in tunnels.
