F&RM goes digital
FROM TODAY, Fire & Risk Management Journal is available to FPA members in a new digital format as well as in print.
The journal’s new format has gone live this month with the November issue, and contains all the features expected from a PDF page turning platform, including a search function, the ability to download the magazine, share and bookmark options and display and formatting options. This platform also allows users to add notes or highlight sections, while all URLs within the magazine are hyperlinked to allow for online access to published website links.
FPA members will still receive their printed journal as well going forward, and our new online issues are also compatible with all modern devices, including PCs, Macs, tablets and phones, with members also able from launch to access digital versions of back issues going back to December/January 2017/2018. In order for members to enjoy the new service, the FPA requires your email address on record, as this is used to determine access privileges.
Members will be sent a monthly notification from Fire & Risk Management, which will announce when each issue is available to view digitally via a link. This will always usually be a few days before the printed version of the magazine arrives in the post – if you are not receiving details of how to access the online journal, we may not have your current email address on record: to check if this is the case, please contact the FPA’s membership team on 01608 812524 or at firstname.lastname@example.org
To view the issues currently available digitally in the new format, please visit http://www.frmjournal.com/online-issues/
Further down the line, we are looking at digitalising further back issues, and should the digital version prove to be convenient and accessible for members, they can contact the FPA and confirm whether they wish to receive a printed copy going forward.
At this point, the previously published articles and issues going back to 2010 are still available online at http://www.frmjournal.com/frm-issues/
