FPA to exhibit at Fire Safety Event
THE FIRE Protection Association (FPA) will exhibit and host a member event at the Fire Safety Event in Birmingham this April.
Western Business Exhibitions, which hosts the Fire Safety Event, stated that the FPA had ‘pledged its support’ to the exhibition, taking place from 9 to 11 April 2019 at the NEC in Birmingham. The FPA will both exhibit with a stand at the conference, and hold a member event at 1pm on 11 April, which will be ‘open to everyone including FPA members’, and provide ‘key updates’ after the recent developments in regard to Dame Judith Hackitt’s review of building regulations and fire safety.
The Fire Safety Event will also host keynote speakers including Dame Judith, as well as former New York Commissioner Sal Cassanno, who will discuss the New York Fire Department’s fire protection for tall buildings after the September 11th terrorist attacks.
Dominic Louks, the FPA’s membership and events manager, commented: ‘We are delighted to be taking part in the Fire Safety Event 2019, a dynamic and fast-growing industry event, that brings together authoritative content from leading industry experts alongside manufacturers, suppliers and service providers. The fire sector is currently experiencing heightened awareness, so I am sure these three days are not to be missed.’
Mark Sennett, Fire Safety Event content director, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with the FPA - they have been at the forefront of drawing attention to fire safety, especially in the wake of the Grenfell Tower tragedy. We look forward to welcoming their members to the Fire Safety Event, and we know all delegates will benefit greatly from the guidance they will be able to offer - not only from their exhibition stand, but also via our content platforms.’
